Memoirs of an OC: Fuu

It was through MSFP that I came across this One Piece OC that I didn't know of existence until I read her profile. And I could say crossing paths with her was annoying at worth it at the same time, annoying because of her hella goddess-like traits and I just don't know what words to say. -rolls eyes- A nice post about this Fuu had been made already by MSFP, I recommend it to all of you.
Now, I just want to give my own opinion on the said story and OC since I didn't feel like posting an anonymous review on its fanfiction. I read the reviews of the story this OC was in and there were split opinions--there are haters and lovers. Some saying that Fuuthor shouldn't give a flying middle finger on everything the haters said and just went on writing whatever she wanted. Well, I don't have anything to say to that, but too bad I am one of the haters. XD Ahaha. First, it seemed to me that these FUUTHOR lovers made it looked like the haters are bunch of idiots who didn't have a life so they just kept on bashing the OC's story and talk shit. I believe this Fuu character is totally an atmosphere and One Piece Universe destroyer, I wonder if Fuuthor is a manipulative and smooth talker--since she got to moved/convinced many that her story and character were totally off the hook. Not because we are hating doesn't mean we are idiots, closed minded or something else. One Piece is indeed a quite great story and then came a goddess from god knows where and disrupted the entire story. Second, Fuuthor got awesome writing skills, that I will not deny, and another thing, why didn't she just create an original story for her Fuu? I think that'll do, put her in her own Universe where she can be the goddess and all. Third, flaws, yes I saw what flaws she had from MSFP post and I was like: WTF. Useless flaws, just a pathetic sprinkles to blind readers and make them think the OC wasn't perfect. It's not great at all to read a story with a very perfect hero or heroine, I knew a story with that kind of character and I went really batshit crazy. And I think Ace (MSFP) was right, she was totally out of hand and her powers and her brother's power was like...what the hell. Didn't make any sense at all why he sent his bitchy sister in One Piece and gave her incredible powers.
There's nothing wrong with putting an OC in any universe but it's ugly when this OC started to rid the essence of the story. That's what I felt on Memoirs of an OC, sure the original characters were there but I could no longer feel that it was still One Piece.

Vampire Knight OC: Hideki Kira

Vampire Knight is one of the best shoujo, reverse harem anime/manga out there that many anime lovers—mostly were females if I am not mistaken—liked. Even though the story already reached its end, there are still many who continue to patronize this anime series. I am not a crazy die hard VK fan girl—since I am quite picky when it comes to Vampire themed stories, not really into them—but I am attracted to this anime.  One thing that I loved about it is how it was drawn, very beautiful and enticing. The characters are totally gorgeous and it made you want to live in that world too.

It may not rank as number 1 in Fanfiction but Vampire Knight has many fan fictions for everyone to read, there’s always a new one being posted. Whenever I browse this section in Fanfiction, there were always new stories being published. And most of these new stories have an OC.

Like I said awhile ago, VK is very enticing that it made you want to live in that world too…  OCs are what authors usually put in a fandom and make them part of that particular movie/book or anime. Just like in Vampire Knight, lots of OCs really. Shows how awesome the anime really was. And majority of these OCs are…girls…author’s self inserts and worst…MARY SUEs. I have nothing against OCs because I also made one, but what I don’t like is that majority of these OCs are…just like what another author said in a FF forum, “Yuuki copies”. Yuuki Cross is the main character of Vampire Knight but she already possessed a Mary Sue trait at the same time so to make matters worse, an OC is inserted in the story with a background similar to Yuuki. It was always like that really, then the OC will either be partner to Zero or Kaname or other VK guys. I don’t really mind that too but if the OC started to become overpowered and rule the entire VK universe…well…what the heck happened?

It’s both amusing and tiring to read those kind of fan fiction.

And since I am crazy, I decided to look for a Vampire Knight OC who isn’t like one of those OCs out there. And I think I found one.

Unique power: Body Manipulation (Kira trained hard to make it possible for her to use this power any time.)

Personality: A bit hard to explain but Kira is a serious and mature person. She will hardly ever smile or show any emotion in particular. Sometimes she seems like she's bored or lonely or even annoyed. She will, however, smirk every so often. Quite hard to read as her features hold no specific emotion. Besides that, she is nice to people and will not attack anyone without reason. Very honest and brave, she won't hesitate to speak her mind but she can also be devious at times. Her intelligence is quite high and she's difficult to deceive. Kira will protect those close to her at all costs even if it means that she'll have to end her life. She is too stubborn. Once she makes up her mind it's difficult to tell her otherwise. In addition, Kira can become very jealous but she'll never admit it.

Bio: Kira was born in the Hideki Family, a noble Vampire family. Unlike most nobility, her family lived outside Japan and rarely attended any vampire events. Her existence is almost unknown to the vampire society due to that fact. Later in her life, around her late 15, she moved to Japan where she learned about Cross Academy. Upon request she mysteriously enough joins the Day Class besides her nature. Later, she becomes a prefect as part of a deal with Cross.

Anyway, while reading this profile I am actually waiting to read something like a tragic past/pitiful history, supersonic-powerful-there’s-nothing-you-can-do-about-it power, and radiant beauty and being protected/liked by Kaname Kuran and his lackeys. Well, that’s what I mostly read and see from VK OCs. I was surprised and felt pleasant for seeing none of those ingredients. And so, I believed Hideki Kira is one of those rare nicely honed Vampire Knight OC. Believe it or not, what I liked the most about her profile is that she wasn’t known in the vampire society. I find that really attractive and I think she deserved some special prize for that; most OCs I have read always have a huge role or an important person in the Vampire Society despite of having a tragic history (there’s always a tragic past. xD) another nice thing about Kira is her abilities, she’s definitely not a Mary Sue, since she possessed typical vampire abilities and her unique ability is not really empowered besides she worked hard to become expert on using it. A VK Mary Sue would probably possessed a power that is totally powerful—stronger than Kaname and Zero or even Rido. Her personality is fine as well, I believe it’s consistent and not contradicting. I could actually picture her with those traits, I think she’s like a Kuudere or Dandere or mixed of both. There’s nothing goddess-like with her appearance too, since she’s a vampire, it’s natural for her to have that nice silky red hair—it’d be surprising if she’s an ordinary Human and she has red hair and an unnaturally colored eyes and the reason would be she’s from another country and shit O_O well based on VK universe, most of the Day class girls normally has either brown or black hair. Or is there a blonde?

She’s a totally believable character and I think I will enjoy roleplaying with her. It is nice to RP with characters who is incapable of conquering the entire universe in a flick of his/her finger xD. You know what I mean people.

YAY for Kira for not being paired with any major characters! xD

YAY for Kira for not being Yuki’s long lost twin sister or anything related to her! xD

YAY for Kira for not being an empowered goddess-like figure! xD

YAY for Kira for not having a very tragic history! xD

Red Joker (Heart No Kuni No Alice)

(Just a reminder invisible readers and whoever, this is NOT a MARY SUE  okay? I will always post a note if the character being presented is an MS or not. Since Like I said before, I also want to dedicate AOMS on OCs that my eyes will find interesting and worth the shot :D Before I begin, I DO NOT OWN THE PHOTO USED BELOW or anything that has something to do with little Red Joker. Red Joker is the main protagonist of a HnKnA fanfic entitled "Red Joker", "Red Joker: True Origins" and "Red Joker: Teen Years". It was fun reading these three stories about her! Among the HnKnA OCs I've read--or to be brutally frank I didn't totally read the entire thing, just scan "^_^--Red is my most favorite and probably the best. Why? Unlike the other OCs in HnKnA who are always appear as a foreigner most of the time and has a similarity to the main character Alice, this OC is unique. I guess what attracted me to her is that she didn't undergo the same process like the others--being founded by Peter White or followed a White Rabbit down the Rabbit Hole, something like that and the love story between her and Pierce is so cute :3 And you should see how Black acted around her when they gotten closer xD It's freaking funny and also cute.

Don't get me wrong people, I don't have anything against OCs who are like Alice, I created one myself (but I got bored with it so I deleted it). For me, seems that HnKna got filled with many foreigner OCs that it look already boring and unattractive; almost the same plot, a foreigner, disliked by the Roleholders or not totally and more. 

She's definitely not a MARY SUE. Nuh-uh, I will shoot anyone who will dare say that >xD. She and the Jokers--especially Black--didn't start really good and she's disliked by Blood Dupre a hell lot. What's beautiful is that her relationship with the Jokers wasn't fast, I mean it took time to develop and for them to realized. It's quite touching really, you should read it and I recommend it. 

Who would not love the little Red? :3 

By the way, she's created and story written by HallowBlue, you should go and read her stories especially Red Joker. I am telling you it's worth it.

What do I want to say? O_O This is my first time to do a blog about Mary Sues and OCs, I should give Ace and the rest behind the Mary Sue Facepalm a give credit for inspiring me on creating this blog. I am just new to this kind of stuff so don't be rude to me -puppy eyes- 

Attack on Mary Sues...hmmm, why that title? I found it attracting and amusing xD I couldn't think of any other titles that will sound nice and will leave a mark to the audience--then I hope it will really leave a mark to the audience/readers--even if 1/8 of this blog would also be dedicated on interesting and hella weird OCS.

The worst Mary Sue created in the YYH Universe!

Hello Everyone! Just want to tell you that I totally enjoyed reading Mary Sues from this awesome blog/tumblr called Mary Sue Facepalm (marysuefacepalm.tumblr.com/). I got really fired up so I decided to post a Mary Sue character as well, and for the debut of my blog I will be posting none other than my ridiculous goddess-like self figure from the anime Yu Yu Hakusho. Yep, I am definitely turn myself in, I created her when I was in my junior high but thank God I didn’t got totally infected with the MS virus ^_^ So shall we begin our journey down there? xD

Name: Akira Ryuuzaki (Akira means ‘bright’ of I am not mistaken and Ryuu is ‘dragon’, not that really knowledgeable in Japanese but as far as I know that’s what those mean)

Nickname:   Aki,  Rabbit, Ojou-sama

Age:  17

Race: Black Rabbit from a Realm called Spark (What the fuck is SPARK, right? In the YYH Universe there’s only the Human World, Demon World and Spirit World. Spark is somewhere over the goddamn lala land and rainbows.)

Physical Appearance: stands 5 foot 4, knee length black hair and dark green eyes in her HUMAN FORM, knee length bloodred hair and red eyes with black rabbit ears in her DEMON FORM (It’s been awhile since I watched YYH but as far as I know, this kind of appearance never existed in YYH Universe. Unique in appearance, much?)

Personality: Short tempered, sweet, childish, powerful, cold hearted, boyish and war freak (What the hell right? She’s a one true blue JERK SUE and GOD MODING SUE! >_< By the way to those who do not know, JERK SUE means “I'm a complete and utter bitch and I have constant PMS...love me!”)

Background: (Alright, here we go, danger zone)

Akira is one of the Elemental Maidens, she was the known Red Maiden, Daughter of Fire and Fiery Deity Bunny. Her mother was a Black Rabbit and also the Titan of Fire while her father is an Ancient Summoner. She is called the Daughter of Fire because of her ability to control fire but she can also control plants, mostly are thorns and vines. She’s the closest friend of Mizuki, the Blue Maiden.

When they went down to Earth, she transformed—her hair became black, her eyes turned green. She and Mizuki were adopted by a rich childless couple who took them in without any hesitation. Akira studied at Tenshi Private School with Mizuki where they met Kurama and Hiei. Akira is mostly cold towards boys but despite of this attitude, they still fell head over heels for her tempting beauty and beautiful long hair, she’s the only one who beat Kurama in their class and she instantly became top 1. Her weakness is the Math subject since she hated numbers and computations a lot and also Bakayura who happened to be her unrequited love. It was late before Akira realized her feelings for Kurama, the kitsune was already taken by her the moment he saw her. She and Kurama became a couple. 

(Who gives a damn about her unrequited love Bakayura if there are like loads of guys who wanted her and Kurama—Youko is definitely included—also wanted her?!!!! O_O I totally screwed up in this character. Just look at her! Weakness is math? WUT? That’s a goddamn weakness for the love of anything holy and she’s still the top 1 in the class. How did she do that?)

(There are lots of reason why Akira-sama needs to be taken down and I did after a friend of mine knocked some senses in my brain and told me what a MARY SUE means. The story she and Mizuki—who is another Mary Sue—was in revolved literally around both of them and the two handsome guys Kurama and Hiei. It went totally out of control since Kuwabara, Yusuke and the other YYH characters disappeared and became either supporting or minor characters. And not only that, she has the same ability like Kurama, she can also control plants, like how and why?! I am asking my old self this now, why the hell did you create such character?! >_< 101% empowered in any way you look at it and out of context too.)
